•What significant change takes place when Enrique reaches Veracruz? Every one in Veracruz is very friendly. They help the migrants. Even if they are poor they give to those who don’t have anything.
•How do people in Veracruz show their kindness? The people in Veracruz show their kindness by giving to the migrants. They give the migrants food and clothing and sometimes even their homes for shelter and protection from the weather and the police.

•When Enrique finally arrives at Nuevo Laredo, he’ on the bank of what river? Enrique finally reaches the Rio Grande, or like Mexicans call it Rio Bravo.
•What is the significance of the statue of Jesus Enrique encounters? It brings hope to the migrants.
•How does the journey change at the point of this encounter? Once they see this statue the migrants are filled with hope and strength. They know they have made it this far and they have strength to keep going.
